2023 Writer's Salon Workshops Series

In this workshop, we will discuss music in poetry and how we can discover the song within us. We will examine music, as well as poetry, in three aspects: struggle, discovery, and overcoming. Also, participants will have the opportunity to write a musical poem. They may share their piece if they choose.

About the Facilitator: 

A Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net-nominee, Elaine Nadal is the author of two poetry chapbooks: When and Sweat, Dance, Sing, Cut, published by Finishing Line Press. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in several journals and anthologies. Nadal has shared her work at many venues. She also did a TEDx talk on hope, poetry, and music.
