2024-25 Writing Salon Workshop Series

We live in an era defined by uncertainty. The political and social climate often fuels fear—fear of injustice, fear for the safety of ourselves or our communities, fear of losing freedoms, or fear of an unknown future. These fears can feel paralyzing, silencing, and isolating. But fear doesn’t have to control us.

In this workshop, we’ll explore how writing can help us confront and process fear in meaningful ways. Writing is a powerful act of resistance—it allows us to name our fears, reclaim our power, and imagine a future where fear no longer holds us back. Together, we will reflect on the ways fear shows up in our personal and collective lives, celebrate moments of courage, and envision possibilities for freedom and hope.
