Some things we carry in our hands. Others, we carry in our hearts. Objects—whether worn, sacred, broken, or imagined—hold memories, meanings, and emotional weight.
In this generative writing workshop, we’ll use the physical and symbolic power of objects to explore personal narrative. Through reflective and imaginative list-making, story fragments, and prompts rooted in lived experience, participants will engage with the things they’ve carried—across migrations, relationships, identities, and generations.
Together, we will:
✨ Use objects as powerful entry points for personal storytelling
✨ Reflect on memory, identity, and transformation through writing
✨ Explore what we’ve inherited, what we’ve lost, and what we still carry—by choice or necessity
