A Poetry Workshop Honoring Dominican Mothers Across Memory, Ritual, and Rhythm

With Mother’s Day still fresh in our hearts, this poetry workshop invites us to honor the mujeres who raised us—their discipline, their tenderness, their sayings, their silence.

Mi Mamá, En Tres Tiempos is a playful and powerful writing session where we’ll craft a three-part poem inspired by Dominican motherhood. Using guided prompts, we’ll reflect on the ordinary magic of our mothers: their morning rituals, their dramatic flair, their unspoken love.

Through language that celebrates memory, culture, and emotion, participants will write into who their mothers were (or still are) across time:the mornings, the moments, and the goodbyes.

This workshop is open to all writers and poetry lovers. Come ready to laugh, remember, and create something beautiful.
