Details:
What do we grieve when we migrate—especially when we migrate young, before we have words for loss? This interactive bilingual workshop explores migratory grief as both a lived experience and a generative source for writing. Through guided reflection, short readings, and writing prompts, participants will reclaim their palabras on their own terms.
Facilitator: Dr. Egli Colón Stephens, Ed.D., is an educator, writer, and cultural worker with over 25 years of experience in K–12 and higher education. She is the author of Unbroken, El duelo no es el final, as well as its English counterpart, Beyond Grief. Her work centers around grief, migration, resilience, memory, and voice, particularly within immigrant and Dominican communities.
