The Home Inside: An AWA Writing Circle on Memory, Body, and Belonging
Sometimes home isn’t a place—it’s a story we carry.
Led by Dr. Annecy Báez, this two-hour Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) workshop invites you to write from that deep inner space where memory, body, and belonging meet. Through guided prompts inspired by poets Marianela Medrano, Aurora Levins Morales, and Joy Harjo, participants will explore what it means to belong—to a land, a language, a lineage, or simply to themselves.
You’ll write in community, share (only if you wish), and close with a simple creative ritual to honor the words that surface. No critique, no pressure—just an open circle to listen, write, and reconnect with the home inside.
