Write the Thing You’ve Been Circling
There is often one piece of writing that follows us—the scene, memory, or truth we return to again and again without ever fully entering. We circle it in notes, half-drafts, and fragments, unsure of where to begin or how to stay with it once we do.
This workshop is designed to help writers move closer to that material through a series of guided writing prompts that encourage honesty, presence, and momentum. Rather than aiming for completion or polish, the focus is on access: approaching the work carefully, listening to what it reveals, and allowing the writing to unfold on the page.
Writers will generate new material by engaging the emotional, physical, and narrative layers of the work they’ve been avoiding, leaving with deeper clarity and language that can be developed further over time.
All genres and experience levels are welcome.
