Every home leaves a mark on us. Some protect us, some haunt us, and some become part of who we are. In this workshop, writers will explore memory, identity, and emotion through the places we have lived.
Through guided exercises, participants will revisit childhood homes, imagined spaces, and forgotten rooms to uncover stories hidden within walls, objects, and everyday details. Writers will learn how setting can reveal character, create atmosphere, and hold emotional truth.
By the end of the session, memories of place will become the foundation for compelling scenes, characters, and personal narratives.
Facilitator: Eli Villamán is a multidisciplinary writer and educator whose work blends literature, visual arts, and storytelling. Trained in narrative and creativity studies, she is a novelist, screenwriter, actress, director, and creative writing teacher.
