2023 Writer's Salon Workshops Series

Connecting with Our Inner Child: A workshop that will focus on reconnecting with our inner child, memories, and lessons we have learned. Through a variety of writing and discussion activities, individuals will have an opportunity to create poems, prose, short stories, or simply journal their emotions. 

About the facilitator: Dhayana Alejandrina is a poet, storyteller, and writing mentor from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She performed her initial open mic in Okinawa, Japan, where she resided for four years. Her literary work scours inner growth, devotion, culture, and spiritual healing. The Dominican Writers Association, Al Día Newspaper, the Kindness Book by UNESCO MGIEP, Penguin India Publishing, Medium, and many others have published her work. In 2021, Dhayana debuted her first collection of variant prose and poetry, Agridulce, which shines the light on the importance of acknowledging our emotions and experiences as a path to self-awareness and discovery.
