As we continue to reel - and also to heal - from the 2024 elections both in Boriken and the United States, the emotions we're experiencing are all valid. There's much uncertainty and a whole lot of pain we're processing - as individuals as well as a collective. As we know, one of the best ways to express our angst is via creative writing. This taller is geared specifically toward BIPOC to explore another dimension to their poetry via the use of the languages we speak. Whether it's español, Spanglish, Creole, Tagalog or any other language (mixed with English), we'll delve into the unique palette our bilingual brains possess to heal through writing.
About the Facilitator:
