A Speculative Writing Workshop on Memory, Liberation, and Imagination
What would the future look like if we imagined it with care, truth, and freedom?
In this creative writing workshop, we’ll step beyond the present and into possibility. Drawing from speculative traditions rooted in Afro-Caribbean and Latinx storytelling, participants will use memory, ancestral wisdom, and radical hope to write futures where our communities heal, thrive, and lead.
Through guided prompts and shared reflection, we’ll reimagine our relationships to power, tradition, technology, and joy. This is not a sci-fi class—it’s an invitation to dream boldly and write toward a world we’ve never seen but deeply need.
Perfect for writers of all levels—especially those curious about the intersection of identity, futurism, and storytelling.
Bring your pen. Bring your vision. Let’s write the future we deserve.
