Lil' Readers Storytime: The Girl Who Thought In Pictures
Join us for a joyful morning of storytelling, creativity, and community at Lil' Readers!
April is Autism Awareness Month, and we are celebrating with a very special storytime! This bilingual reading features The Girl Who Thought In Pictures: The Story of Dr. Temple Grandin, written by Julia Finley Mosca and illustrated by Daniel Rieley. When young Temple was diagnosed with autism, no one expected her to talk, let alone become one of the most powerful voices in modern science. Yet, the determined visual thinker did just that. Her unique mind allowed her to connect with animals in a way that led to groundbreaking discoveries. Told in playful rhyming verse, this inspiring true story celebrates the power of thinking differently and reminds every child that being different can be their greatest strength.
