Details:
Our mothers—and the stories we tell about them—live in everything we carry. Whether present or absent, nurturing or complicated, blood or chosen, mothers leave imprints on our voice, memory, identity, and silence.
In this generative writing workshop, we’ll explore personal and cultural narratives surrounding mothers and matriarchs. Through guided prompts, we’ll reflect on the myths we inherited, the memories we revisit, and the ways we’ve been shaped by (or in resistance to) motherhood.
This space honors all kinds of mother stories—with room for tenderness, grief, humor, reverence, and truth. Writers of all backgrounds and experiences are welcome.
