In partnership with the Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE), NYC Reads, and La Dirección de Cultura Dominicana en el Exterior, we are thrilled to invite you to the inauguration of our new children’s reading hub.

The collaboration between the Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE), NYC Reads, La Dirección de Cultura Dominicana en el Exterior and the Dominican Writers Association exemplifies a shared vision for literacy and cultural enrichment in Washington Heights. This partnership leverages collective resources and expertise to create a vibrant space that embodies the community's rich cultural heritage and a commitment to literacy.

The new children's reading hub is not just a physical space, but a symbol of what can be achieved when organizations unite with a common goal—to empower the next generation through education and to preserve and celebrate cultural diversity. This collaborative effort will provide a vital resource for local families, offering bilingual educational programs and activities that cater to the community's unique needs.

As we cut the ribbon on this new facility, we also celebrate the strong bonds and shared aspirations that have made this endeavor possible. Join us in recognizing the power of partnership to transform our community and ignite a passion for learning and literacy among our youth.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include light refreshments, and a captivating puppet show, "The Colors of Frida," presented by Teatro SEA.

We are excited to celebrate this important milestone with our community and partners!
