The holiday season carries its own unspoken language—pressure to show up, pressure to be joyful, pressure to hold everything together. Yet behind the smiles and gatherings, many of us hide truths we never say aloud: the overwhelm, the resentment, the grief, the fatigue, the desire for space, the words stuck in our throat.
Writing What We Don’t Say is a generative workshop that gives writers permission to name the unsaid. Through guided reflection, we’ll explore the emotional boundaries, cultural expectations, and quiet truths that shape this season. This workshop invites honesty without guilt, clarity without conflict, and expression without apology.
Who should join:Anyone navigating complicated family dynamics, emotional heaviness, or the internal pressure to “perform joy” during the holidays. Writers who crave a space to tell the truth gently and safely.
You’ll leave with:New writing, emotional clarity, and a deeper understanding of what you’ve been carrying beneath the surface of celebration.
